Léa Dufourd-Sharabash paints in abstraction, giving body to imaginary landscapes and enigmatic figures. Influenced by the bright colors of Northern California and America's vast landscapes, she works primarily with paint, paper, and collage to recreate compelling visions. Especially drawn to random marks, she finds meaning and inspiration in the smallest detail all around.
Léa now resides in San Francisco, CA but grew up in France, where she graduated with a Master of Arts in Literature. She started to paint as a way to free herself from the specific constraints of language. Her artwork is an invitation to wander and uncover other concealed presence in the images offered to our eyes.
