Pamela Anderson has a concentrated background in a variety of mediums. As a graduate of University of California, Davis, she was privileged to study under some of the greatest artists of our time. These artists included Wayne Thiebaud, Robert Arneson, and Roy Deforest. During the 70’s there was a movement known as “California Funk”. This philosophy allowed the artist a great deal of exploration and experimentation. Pamela’s work reflects this genre through her journey as a contemporary realist. Pamela paints in plein aire and in her studio. Both venues afford different but necessary opportunities to develop a successful painting. Outdoors, she is initially drawn to the emotion and playfulness generated by color, shape, and shadow. The Napa Valley landscape is a never ending source of inspiration.
