“Even though I paint cityscapes, street scenes & figures - my real subject matter is - texture & color layering. I am also fascinated by light & reflections . Perhaps this is a result of years working as a professional stage & costume designer. Often my street scenes may look like a stage with actors. I never fully define a scene or force a meaning- it has to emerge, unfold & be discovered. My technique consists of scraping, sanding, erasing, scratching & building up layers."
The artist resides in Carmichael, CA.
